about

All music produced, engineered, programmed, fiddled with endlessly and composed by Roger Doyle ℗ and © PRS/MCPS 2020/21.
Recorded in Rabbit And Costelloe's (the home studio).

The album title comes from a newspaper headline in the New York Times from November 1919 when experiments were done to test Einstein's theory that light could be bent by gravity. Einstein was proved right. See the headline on title track.

Other tracks are inspired by the Aurora Borealis, an experience I had of seeing them in Alberta, Canada, and finding it hard to believe the scientific explanation for the magic I saw.

The title for track 3 is used by permission and with thanks, and is a line from a poem by Katherine Duffy. The titles for tracks 6 and 9 are borrowed from James Joyce.

The photo was taken at Powerscourt, County Wicklow, by Mary Costelloe. Design by Niall McCormack.
Album length: 58'30
